At Island Homemade Ice Cream we create hand-made, small-batch, gourmet ice cream and sorbet.
Founded in 2004 by Gary and Patty Sundberg, the company has a well-established reputation for consistently producing superb, high-quality ice cream and delivering top-notch customer service.
I purchased the company in August, 2014. In addition to Noni Stuart, the Marketing Director and Chris Mitchell, we are all excited to embark on this creative adventure and hope, with your help, to contribute our chapter to the ongoing story that has made Vermont ice cream and dairy products synonymous with excellence.
What makes Island Homemade Ice Cream so special?
We are located in Grand Isle, known as the “beauty spot” of Vermont. Our milk is from Vermont cows and we use local products whenever possible.
We make over 50 fantastic flavors of ice cream and sorbet. Our best sellers: French Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Supreme, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Island Coconut, Maple Walnut, Maple Bacon, Sea Salt Caramel, Mint Chocolate Chip, Coffee Chip, and Pink Grapefruit sorbet fly off the shelves.
Since we are a small batch company, our focus is on the quality of our ice cream and the tastiness of our ingredients. We create delicious and original flavors.
We believe in giving back to the community. For example, we are currently donating 2% of all sales of our Pink Grapefruit sorbet to the Vermont Cancer Center for breast cancer research.
