Island Homemade Ice Cream

In 2004, we operated SunBurger’s, a small seasonal snack bar in Grand Isle, Vermont. Wildly popular with locals and visitors, our snack bar soon began attracting customers solely for our handmade ice cream. We quickly realized a good thing, and decided to continue making ice cream all year, distributing to local stores and restaurants. In 2006, Island Homemade Ice Cream was born.
Island Homemade Ice Cream uses a manufacturing process that is stringently monitored to the utmost detail. The Vermont Department of Agriculture visits regularly to test the water, inspect the equipment, review ingredient sources, and even to sample the products. We are a Vermont Registered Ice Cream "Plant".
Island Homemade Ice Cream distributes treats on a wholesale basis. You can find many of our ever-changing flavors in a host of local stores, restaurants, and events.
